Cinquains
Cinquains are good beginning poems because they are easy to do
and reinforce a grammar lesson.

Cinquains are 5-line poems.

Cinquains do not rhyme.

The form of a cinquain is:

Line 1 has a single noun. It is usually the same as the title since
it is the main topic of the poem.

Line 2 has TWO adjectives describing the main topic.
-
Line 3 has THREE -ing verbs telling the action of the main topic.
-
Line 4 is a FOUR-word sentence or phrase telling how the poet feels
about the topic.
-
Line 5 has a synomyn or repeat of Line 1.
