Use the site http://gaif.peachnet.edu/tutor/Nomenclature.html for the following activities.

 

1.  Review nomenclature tutorial.

 

2.  Review definitions (especially cation).

 

3.  Review the flow chart.  Compare it to yours.  It is more detailed than yours and might

      be a help, or might be too “busy” to be helpful.

 

4.  Review “Binary compounds with fixed cation charges” if needed. Do the practice

     problems.

 

5.  Review “Binary compounds with variable charge cations” Do the practice problems.

 

6.  Review “Covalent binary compounds using Greek prefixes.  Do the practice problems.

 

7.  Review “Polyatomic ions”.  Do the practice problems.
