The process you will use to complete this task is to pick one of the following two writing prompts.
Prompt #1
Imagine you are a Native American child living in Florida in the 1500's. Select which Native American tribe you want to be a part of. One day you leave your tribe and take a walk along the coastline. Suddenly there appears before you an animal sacred to the Indian culture. It could be a type of bird, fish, or mammal. Decide which sacred animal you come upon and tell what happened the day you met that special creature upon the coastline.
You need to decide which Indian tribe you are part of and which animal you find.

Prompt #2
Being a Native Floridian child in the 1500's would have been very different than being a child living in current times. Native Americans ate different foods, had different types of transportation, government, culture, and wore different types of apparel. Using the information found in the links in the bottom of the page, select which native American tribe you want to be a part of and tell why you would prefer to be living in the 1500's or today. Remember, your reasons must include information from the sites below.
You need to decide which Indian tribe you are part of, and research that tribe so that you may have information to answer the prompt. Be sure your writing includes information you have researched about your tribe including foods, government, area of the state, religion and culture, and clothing.
