Activity #3
How Big Is a Foot?
by Rolf Myller
Use Your Head
Materials Needed:
String, Straight Ruler with cm, Paper, Pencil, Crayons or Colored Pencils
Chart your findings below:
1. Have your partner measure from the start of your hair on your forehead down to the tip of your chin with the string. Measure the string for exact measurement and draw an egg shaped circle on your paper to represent your face. (Remember to use your hairline to chin measurement to draw an accurate egg shape).
2. With the string have your partner measure the distance from your hairline to your eyebrows. Draw in your eyebrows on your paper.
3. Have your partner measure the distance (with string) between your eyes. Draw in your eyes on your paper.
4. Now draw on your paper your nose & mouth.
5. Have your partner measure the size of your ears and draw them on your picture.
6. Measure around the circumference of your head, just above your eye brows.
