Thank You, Jackie Robinson

1. Jackie Robinson, Davy and Sammy each had a special talent or ability. Everyone has special talents. Interview five classmates and discover their abilities. Then write describing each classmate’s special talent(s).

2. Davy became Sammy’s best friend even though they were very different in some ways. Write about how they were different and how their friendship was special

3. Write about how Sammy changed through his friendship with Davy.

4. Sammy lived far from Ebbets field and didn’t tell his mom that he was going to the ballpark. Pretend that you are Sammy. Instead of going to the ballpark to ask Jackie Robinson to sign the baseball, write him a letter. Include all parts of a friendly letter.
