Task

You and your partner are young herpetologists. You will be presenting information to a group of students about frogs and toads.

 

Before you do this, you will:

1. Explore and research about frogs on the Internet.

2. Read the books Reptiles and Amphibians and From Tadpole to Frogs in our classroom library.

3. Keep a research log in your composition book to record all the information you gather.

4. Create a Venn Diagram listing how frogs and toads are the same and different.

5. Draw and label the life cycle of a frog.

6. Find out some interesting facts about a frog or toad and share it with the class.

 

 

To answer the questions many people have about frogs, you will create a booklet to use during your presentation..

 

Your booklet will include:

Page 1 An explanation of what an amphibian is and names of three examples.

Page 2 A Venn Diagram showing the differences and similarities between frogs and toads.

Page 3 A picture of the life cycle of a frog with each stage labeled.

Page 4 Interesting information and a picture about the frog or toad you want to teach us about.
