Birds 
You are a lucky student because you are going to research Birds!
Here's a few facts to get you started.
Most birds...
- are warm-blooded
- have two wings, two legs, and a beak
- give birth to babies hatched from eggs
- breathe through lungs
- are covered with feathers
These facts apply to almost all birds around the world. However, there are a few differencews. Some birds spend their whole lives in a warm or cold part of the world. Other birds, though, fly to warmer areas when the weather gets chilly. Some birds, even though they have wings, can't fly at all. And...there are birds that can swim in the water!
Your first job is to print out the form Animal Report Form.
There are many web sites that you can use to find out more information.
Take some time just to look at these six sites.

Now...do some exploring about Birds.
You'll need to "pick" one animal to research. You can either pick one of these five animals, or pick one that you think would be interesting. Just check with your teacher to make sure she approves of the animal you picked.
